This February Beauville Arts embarks on its fourth year working in China. The BA team will be braving freezing temperatures in Qinghai province to put on a show with some 100 students in (you guessed it) just five days. In association with the charity Chinacare we bring both the performing arts and a western approach in teaching to disadvantaged Chinese students in rural areas of this vast country.
The show, performed in English, is a mammoth undertaking and involves a huge degree of dedication not only from Chinacare and its sponsors but particularly from the students whose work ethic is quite phenomenal to witness. The vast majority of participants are complete novices to the performing arts and they have to learn all lines and lyrics in such a short space of time.
